Sydney, 1st August 2006: The Foodie Internet site, Australian Gourmet Pages, has presented its Restaurant of the Year Award 2006 to Neil Perry. Trish Richards and the team at Rockpool Restaurant in Sydney. AGP founder Franz Scheurer made the presentation this morning at the restaurant in Sydney's historic The Rocks.
“Our ‘Restaurant of the Year’ award acknowledges excellence in food and service”, said Mr Scheurer. “The standard set by past winners, Cheong Liew, Tim Pak Poy, Ronnie di Stasio, Peter Doyle, Guillaume Brahimi and Shannon Bennett is indeed very high. And there is no one in Australia more deserving of the recognition this year than the team at Rockpool!”
