Winner announced today!
Sydney, 1st August 2004: The Foodie internet site, Australian Gourmet Pages, has presented its Restaurant of the Year Award for this year to Chef Guillaume Brahime and his team at Guillaume at Bennelong at the Sydney Opera House. AGP founder Franz Scheurer made the presentation at a cocktail party for the staff at the restaurant.
“Our ‘Restaurant of the Year’ award acknowledges excellence in food and service”, said Mr Scheurer. “The standard set by past winners, Cheong Liew, Tim Pak Poy, Ronnie di Stasio and Peter Doyle is indeed very high. And there is no one in Australia more deserving of the recognition this year than Guillaume and his team!”
